"You have to meet my friend". After being begged for weeks to connect, our story starts at a Halloween get-together in High School. A mutual friend had tricked both of us to be in the same place at the same time. After typical teenage awkwardness, we decided to strike a conversation. Both committed to playing sports at JMU, we instantly connected over our shared passions. Despite our dreadful Halloween costumes, we quickly found ourselves in easy conversation, discovering common interests that sparked a special bond. From that night, our bond grew stronger, weaving a tale of love and shared dreams that brought us to this moment, ready to embark on our future side by side.

After Cait’s birthday dinner on a warm summer night, the two of them decided to take a walk on the beach near the restaurant. What was thought to be their typical nightly sunset stroll on the sand turned out to be a much bigger plan. While the sun was setting across the glass-like Chesapeake Bay, Nick grabbed both of Cait’s hands and dropped one knee down to ask the very important question. Overstimulated with joy and shock they celebrated there on the beach while family and friends of both ran out from their hiding spots and celebrated with the newly engaged couple.
