We met on Facebook Dating—or, as Christopher likes to call it, “Facebook Marketplace.” If you ask Christopher, he traded four goats for her. After a few weeks of getting to know each other, we decided it was finally time to meet in person. At the time, Morgan was living in Lewiston, Idaho, and Christopher was living in Corvallis, Oregon. Naturally, we thought the best place to meet for the first time would be Christopher’s family ranch in Monument, Oregon—to go turkey hunting for the weekend… in the middle of the woods… with absolutely no cell service. Yes, our parents were understandably concerned. And yes, we know what you’re thinking: Why would you do that before really knowing each other? What if the other person was a serial killer? Honestly—excellent questions. Looking back, the answer is simple: we were not thinking. At all. And no, it probably wasn’t the smartest idea. But somehow, it worked perfectly. What started as a questionable decision turned into the best one we ever made. We’re so grateful that a leap of faith (and a very spur-of-the-moment choice) brought us here today, and we couldn’t be more excited to celebrate our wedding day with all of you!
