We’re so happy you’ll be joining us! A Catholic wedding is a beautiful celebration of love and faith, and here’s what you can expect: Mass: The ceremony will be part of a Mass, where there will be readings, prayers, hymns, and Holy Communion. Procession: The ceremony will begin with the bridal party walking down the aisle, followed by the bride. It’s a special moment, so feel free to enjoy it! Vows and Rings: The couple will exchange vows and rings as a symbol of their commitment. Music: Expect hymns and instrumental pieces to create a reverent atmosphere. Seated vs. Standing: You’ll be asked to stand and sit at various points—just follow the lead of others around you. If you have any questions or need guidance, don’t hesitate to ask! We want you to feel comfortable and enjoy the experience. A note on Holy Communion: In the Catholic Church, Holy Communion is a sacrament is reserved for baptized Catholics who are in good standing with the Church, as it represents both spiritual and communal participation in the body of Christ. While we warmly welcome all guests to join in prayer and celebration, only Catholics who are practicing their faith may receive Communion. Thank you for your understanding and respect for this important tradition.
To allow everyone to fully experience and enjoy the sacredness of the ceremony, we kindly ask that no photography be taken during the service. We’ve arranged for a professional photographer to capture beautiful moments, and we can’t wait to share those images with you afterward. Please feel free to take as many photos as you'd like during the reception—we’ll have plenty of opportunities for memories to be made! Thank you for understanding and respecting this request.
There will be around a 3 hour window between the end of the ceremony and the start of cocktail hour for our reception. We encourage everyone to explore the area, especially if you are visiting! Enjoy your time with family and friends outdoors at nearby Summit Park, and Ault Park. Both parks are a great way to relax and take some pictures with your loved ones! Feeling hungry? No problem! There are tons of local places to grab a quick bite to eat. Want the Cincinnati experience? Head to Skyline Chili for some delicious cheese coneys and 3-ways. We also recommend The Root Beer Stand! Want to get the party started early? Head to one of the many local breweries that Cincinnati offers. Madtree Brewery is an excellent choice, with a tasty craft beer selection and cocktails.
The dress code for our wedding is garden party formal, so we kindly ask that guests wear suits, tuxedos, or full length dresses. We also encourage pastel colors (blues, lavenders, pinks, peaches), as they’ll complement the light, joyful vibe of our celebration. That said, please know that formal attire is not required—what’s most important is that you feel comfortable and are able to celebrate with us. We’re just thrilled to have you there, and we look forward to creating beautiful memories together!
