We met each other in college & only had a handful of short conversations before graduating and moving on to our next adventures. We will both admit that we were definitely intrigued by the other person. Austin likes to include the fact that he forgot my name almost every time we spoke. He says it’s because I made him nervous, I think it was just, well college :) It wasn’t until a few years after college that our paths crossed again. We reconnected via the wonderful internet and actually became close friends. With Austin in Colorado and myself in Indiana, we spent the next 6 months sending messages, talking on the phone and filling each other in on all the little details life was throwing our way. I was ready for a change and trying to figure out where I wanted to move. Austin was living in Denver and told me if I ever decided to check out the city, I had a tour guide and place to stay if I needed. Completely confused as to where I wanted to move, I decided why not, I'm going to visit Denver! It was during one conversation before my visit, that we happened to both share the fact that we had been intrigued by the other person for the past few years. Our close friendship soon turned to a more flirtatious relationship as I think we both realized there might be the slightest possibility this could actually turn into something special. Fast forward to my big visit to Denver. Walking off the plane my heart was racing. I now had a HUGE crush on this person that I had grown to really care about. As I saw Austin waiting for me I remember thinking to myself, “this is crazy!” I was FINALLY able to see him in person after so many years and so many phone calls. And there, in the middle of the Denver airport, we had our first kiss :) 2 months later I moved there and we haven't stopped adventuring since!
