Answer

We were engaged on Miami beach 10/10/2010

Why did you wait so long to get married?

Answer

Around 2010 Randy started investing in Real Estate, and any extra funds we had went toward the purchase of rental houses. Randy knew the market would not stay low forever, so we took advantage of the distressed market. Along with our long term rental properties we also opened two short term rental properties, and they are expensive to get going. We're finally at a place where we can invest the time and energy to celebrate ourselves and baby Carter.

When did you meet with your wedding planner?

Answer

Randy was in a local networking group called PIN, and a local wedding planning company was in the group. Sonia & Randy met with Cecilia Claudio & Maria Parrilla with Elegant Evening Events in the Fall of 2019 for a Fall 2020 wedding. We had no idea we take this long and winding road to get here.

Were you planning a Clearwater Beach wedding?

Answer

When we first met with the wedding planners we were focused on downtown Tampa or Ybor City. Of course we did not foresee the pandemic of 2020, so we opted for a much smaller beach wedding.

Why did you pick Clearwater Beach?

Answer

We operate a near by short term rental house in Belleair Bluffs, and Randy's Aunt Pat lives in Largo making Clearwater Beach top of the list. Also, Randy's beloved Phillies have had spring training here since the 1950's, and we've had many fun days & nights here over the years. And to state the obvious - the beaches are freakin' beautiful.

Why didn't you wait until after the pandemic was completely over to have the wedding?

Answer

Our lives changed forever for the better on August 29th 2020 when God blessed us with a baby boy named Carter Gabriel Clunn. Delaying the wedding any longer was not longer an option as our son is now our top priority.

Is the wedding a socially distanced event?

Answer

Yes, the wedding is being capped to only 40 people. The ceremony will be held outside on the beach, and the cocktail party will also be outside on the beach. The reception will be inside the Cove Room at Sandpearl Resort which has direct views of the Gulf with a big balcony. There will be 4 tables of 10 people in each corner of the room. Furthermore, your dinner will be served at your seat, and this reception is not a buffet or table station wedding to keep everyone even safer.

If I feel sick, or have a fever should I still attend the wedding?

Answer

NO, please do not attend the wedding if you're not feeling well, or have a fever. Also, please bring a mask when entering the Sandpearl Resort.

Is there anything you wish you could change if the wedding was not during the pandemic?

Answer

We both wish we could invite more family and friends. Sanaa's entire family in Morocco including her mom, dad, brother, and nephew are unable to attend the Clearwater Beach wedding due to travel restrictions which completely breaks our hearts. Also, Randy has been with Keller Williams Realty for over 15 + years, and was not able to invite many long time colleagues and business associates.

Who is the headliner musician?

Answer

Our good friend singer / songwriter Shane Meade & The Sound Trio will be performing with Sean Shuffler on Electric Guitar, and his son Justin Shuffler on violin. If it's your first time seeing Shane Meade you will find that he is an extremely talented song writer, and he has an amazing voice.

What is the first dance song?

Answer

Shane Meade has a new album coming out called Living In The Moment, and will be preforming the title track called "LIVING IN THE MOMENT". It is one of our favorite songs, and when we first heard the tune a few years back we knew this was our special wedding dance song.

Who is playing the cocktail party?

Answer

Another good friend Rob Irie is playing and will be looping several instruments directly on the beach. Rob was in the band Buffalo Strange for many years, and Randy met groomsman Dave Earthman Taylor at a Buffalo Strange concert at Skippers Smokehouse in 2002. We have seen Rob Irie play over 100 shows. and excited he was able to jam out the cocktail party.

Who is playing the reception?

Answer

Our wedding photographer Blake Yeager is also an extremely talented musician, and he will be performing several of our favorite all time songs during the dinner. We first started seeing Blake play with a jam band called Middle Rhythm Session in 2005, and have seen him in several other local bands including reggae band Tribal Style, and country band Easy Posse.

What time does the open bar start and end?

Answer

The open bar starts at 5pm and ends at 9pm, and the wedding ends at 10pm. So, take our advice and double fist a few drinks around 8:50pm to go the distance, and enjoy Shane Meade & The Sound Trio performance.

Where is the ceremony?

Answer

The wedding is directly on the beach behind the resort near the fire pit behind the resort style pool. If you find the fire pit you will see our wedding arch and chairs set up.

Where is the cocktail party?

Answer

To the right of the ceremony area about 50 yards away you will find our cocktail party directly on the beach.

Where is the Cove Room / reception?

Answer

The Cove Room is on the 3rd floor of the Sandpearl Resort. There is no 2nd floor since the fist floor is two floors in one. The Cove room is directly on the Gulf with a big balcony for sunset views. The bathrooms are right down the hall way from the Cove Room.

Will baby Carter Gabriel Clunn be attending his parents wedding?

Answer

Carter will be at the ceremony only and take a few pictures afterward.. If you do not get a chance to meet him we are having a baby celebration most likely in early December at Hula Bay Restaurant in Tampa where we cancelled our baby shower since Carter arrived a little early.

Question

What was a happier day for Randy? The day the Eagles won the Super Bowl, or the day Carter was born?

Answer
