Sometimes when you least expect it, love falls right into your lap (literally and figuratively). Dylan and Lauren met at the Blueline bar one evening in November 2019. While they had come with their own respective group of friends, these two found themselves chatting for quite some time. Things seemed to be going great; Dylan got her number and Lauren forgot to save it. After that night, they went their separate ways. Two weeks passed and neither had heard from one another. In early December, one of Lauren's closest friends, Miranda, wanted all of her girls to dress in their finest 70's glam for her birthday. They made their way to F St. for their first stop. As Lauren was chatting with Miranda, she happened to look at the doorway. Lo and behold, it was Dylan dropping off some friends for their own night out while he was on his way to work. Lauren exclaimed and knew this was her opportunity to make her move. As Lauren and the girls were getting ready to leave, she made her way over to Dylan and his friends, which included his best man, Casey. Lauren and Dylan have varying stories, but if you ask Lauren, this is how it went. She said goodbye to his friends as they had exchanged waves when they walked in. She saved Dylan for last, placed her hand on his shoulder, and made sure to tell him, "You know you can call me sometime, right?" then proceeded to walk away. Stunned, Dylan asked Casey, "Who is that, and what was that all about?". After piecing it all together, Dylan messaged Lauren on Instagram. He apologized for not recognizing her and asked her for her number, for the Blueline had gotten the best of both of them that night in November. Lauren replied, "You already have it." Confused, Dylan did in fact realize he had her number all along.
