Question

Are the ceremony and reception in the same place?

Answer

Yes. All events will take place at Old Brick. If you received an invite then you are invited to the wedding and reception. All other guests that received the original save the date will need to watch virtually.

Masks?

Answer

IT is STRONGLY recommended to wear a mask or face shield. Due to people traveling from different places, we do encourage you to bring a mask/face shield and practice social distancing.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony

Answer

The ceremony will be at 5:30pm. We encourage you to arrive at Old Brick by 5:15pm.

What time should I arrive for the reception?

Answer

If you are only attending the reception, we ask that you arrive at 6:15pm. The reception will start at 6:30pm

Is there parking for the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Parking is in the IMU ramp down the street (towards the west/river) and there is also parking along the street that are metered spots. We ask that you not park in the Old Brick parking lot as that is reserved for vendors and parents/wedding party. Another option is taking the shuttle service from your hotel or walk from the hotel.

What do I do between the wedding and reception?

Answer

If you are attending the wedding and the reception, there will be beverages available at Old Brick between the two events. You are welcome to have a beverage inside or on the patio out front. No alcoholic beverages can be taken off of the property. We appreciate your patience between both events.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we are allowing children only for family. We kindly ask that all friends find a babysitter for the evening.

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We are not registered. Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift of all. However, if you wish to honor us with a gift, a monetary donation towards our honeymoon that will have memories of a lifetime is what we suggest.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Casual. If you prefer to wear a dress or suit, please do so. We will still let you in the door with jeans and cowboy boots :)

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Hotel recommendations will be opened on the Travel tab on the website. There are four hotels within 2-5 blocks of the wedding/reception venue.

What airport should I use?

Answer

We recommend the Eastern Iowa Airport in Cedar Rapids for flights. This airport is 30 minutes from downtown Iowa City.

Answer

Due to COVID-19, all invitations and information will be sent via email.

I didn't receive an invitation via email?

Answer

If you didn't receive an email with either an invitation to attend in person or due to COVID-19 restrictions, an invitation to virtually view our ceremony, please contact Clover at clover.marie.farmer@gmail.com or call/text Chad or Clover.

COVID-19 Restrictions

Answer

Due to COVID-19, we are allowed to have six people per table for 150 guests. There is also an outdoor area that you may use to drink your beverage and social distance. We encourage everyone to social distance while talking to one another (no hugs, no handshakes) and while dancing. We also encourage everyone to properly dispose of their drink when finished and to not lose track of which drink is your's to prevent the spread of germs in addition to throwing away any food or plates immediately after use.
