We met in 2019 during a time that we both needed a friend. I went to a wing feed at Irishtown Fire Company with some friends who were trying to get me out of the house. While at the wing feed I was trying to win the 13 jar, instead of wining $100 dollars I got a Nikki. I bought tickets from her throughout the night and we talked every time, I didn't win the $100 dollars and I also ended up breaking my glasses, but from that moment things started to grow. We would start to talk a lot and decided one day that we would go to lunch after my night shift at Baltimore County 911. I was so afraid of oversleeping and missing lunch that I ended up going to the fire house just so I would not miss lunch. We continued to talk and our relationship continued to grow. In 2020 I participated in St Baldricks Foundation charity event where Nikki got to meet my parents and was immediately accepted into the family, the next day the world shutdown for COVID-19. With COVID came challenges, we both knew that it was not if we get COVID, it was when we get it. Today, our relationship continues to grow, but I know that I have found my penguin (I will explain later). We love to go to the races, camping, and binge watching our shows when we have days off together.
