We are high school sweethearts... well technically. We met in high school through being in the same drama class Rebekah's freshman year and Brandon's junior year. First impressions are hard to remember, but Brandon basically thought Rebekah was the full package God fearing, driven, sweet, and funny. A couple of years past of growing in friendship. We officially began dating May 21st, 2015. Brandon asked Rebekah's family to date in the church sanctuary on a Wednesday before youth group and the wrote Rebekah a letter ending with "Will you be my girlfriend?" This was just before Brandon would graduate and we would start our long distance journey.

The Hagans family went on a week long vacation to Sanibel Island and Brandon was able to take off work to join. This week was full of beach visits, biking beautiful trails, viewing amazing sunsets, adventuring, and lots of good food. On the big day before lunch, Rebekah had some hunch that Brandon was planning something from picking up on small cues and thinking far into things. Rebekah interrogated him asking, "Are you planning to ask something?" but he did his best to avoid any solid answers. Rebekah was persistent in asking, she couldn't get her mind off of it! At lunch, Rebekah asked again. Brandon finally said, "Nah." After that, she didn't give the idea a second thought. Apparently, Rebekah was mumbling and Brandon didn't even understand what she asked at lunch. Brandon asked the big question that night during our family photo session at sunset on a beautiful Sanibel rock beach front. The scene was breath taking, family surrounded us, and we had ice cream that night. It was perfect.
