Britt and Bryan first met when they worked at Ohio State University. However, it wasn't until years later when their friend David Taylor invited them to his housewarming party that the two hit it off and became inseparable. They bonded over their shared love of Doctor Who and corny British TV, reading, and exploring Columbus. Since then, they've seen each other through it all: they both went back to school for their master's degrees, changed jobs half a dozen times, purchasing their first home together in 2018, and Bryan going back to school AGAIN. They filled in the gaps along the way with long walks through the parks, hikes and bike rides, trips across the country, and trying all of the amazing food Columbus has to offer. On June 8th, 2019, Bryan asked Britt if she would like to take their usual Saturday morning walk through one of their favorite places: Goodale Park. It had been a long time since they'd gone there, so she was excited. They stopped for breakfast at their favorite diner, Grand Day Cafe, and then headed to the park. They eventually settled on bench near the elephant fountain and talked. That's when Bryan got down on one knee and pulled out the ring! Britt was speechless... Bryan likes to tease that she never really said "yes". But that wasn't the end of the day! Bryan told Britt that they should celebrate with a dinner at Bravo. It seemed like an odd choice, given that they usually try adventurous new restaurants, but Britt just wanted to celebrate, so that's where they headed! Once they walked in, Britt was surprised to find their families all there waiting to celebrate their good news! It was one amazing surprise after another. They still give David all the credit for bringing them together, which is why he is officiating their wedding.
