Cory and I met while I was living back at my parent's house during my first year of graduate school. I would fancy the local Starbucks down the street to study almost every day, most days keeping to myself until this new guy started working. Cory made fun of my pealing, chipped and taped up credit card and one day I even pretended to hit him while coming through the drive-through. He would brighten my study sessions by bringing me warm brownies and telling me "you save other peoples lives all day, someone should do something nice for you..." Who was this Cory guy? Finally, he wrote his name and number down on a post-it note and stuck it to my table! As we talked before our first date, we both found out we were moving within the next month...bummer...well not exactly. I was driving down my street one day (while ready a text from Cory) and as I look up at the car passing me, my heart drops because it was him! I stop, he turns around, we roll down our car windows, I accuse him of being creepy and stocking me but, lone behold this guy was my parents neighbor, my neighbor!! Along with a million other coincidences or as we now say 'God things', our worlds seem to have collided at the perfect moment and the rest is history.
