Just two people celebrating a love that is beautifully ours...

Shoot Your Shot!Shoot Your Shot!

The couple met at a college graduation party. Cliff’s best friend had forced him out for a guys night out. Cliff’s best friend walked up to Raina her and her friend and introduced him to both of them Raina was instantly curious and attracted to the well-dressed, handsome, stranger from “New York maybe”. Cliff was instantly memorized by her eyes. They chatted, well Raina -buzzed from her drinks- chatted. Cliff listened, just looking and thinking about how beautiful she was. To this day, he has no idea what she talked about. He already had it is his mind he was interested. That night, though they were both curious about each other - they didn’t exchange numbers - but they had exchanged long glances. Separated for a brief period time by friends pulling them in opposite directions, Cliff debated if he should go find that girl he’d met early on in the party. He wandered the party hoping to find her and get her number. She was no where to be found. Having to leave early, he hoped he’d run into her again. Similarly, Raina buzzed about at the party, the nameless man a long gone thought, but when she got home she wondered about that handsome “New Yorker” in the trench coat, fitted, and Timbs. A few weeks later, still wondering about the nameless person they’d each met a few weeks prior, both their best friends dragged them into a blizzard – literally a blizzard- to attend a step show. He entered and immediately saw her. Attempting to seize the opportunity he missed a few weeks prior, he said hello. In fact, he said hello a few times. She was talking with friends and completely oblivious. In his brain, she was ignoring him. Throwing in the towel, he decided to take his seat. He unintentionally walked in the row ahead of hers to take his seat. That’s when Raina spotted him—the guy from the party who had already captured her attention weeks before. With a big smile, doting eyes, and an "I’m gonna shoot my shot" kind of energy, she stood up and playfully called out, “Sooo you’re just gonna walk right past me and not say hello?” He laughed, admitting, “I said hello a few times, or tried to at least.” She smiled and said, “well you should take my number so you can keep saying hello”. And just like that, a story that began with stolen glances, chance moments, and awkward hellos turned into something neither of them could have imagined. Raina’s Morale: Ladies shoot your shot! Cliff’s Morale: Second times a charm!
