For a couple decades, our lives ran quietly alongside each other—close, familiar, and somehow never intersecting. We lived just a few miles apart all of our lives. We went to the same college at the same time. We attended the same church at the same time. Looking back now, it’s hard not to believe there was an invisible string gently tying our lives together long before we ever met. And yet, despite all the overlap, our paths never crossed… not until the timing was finally right. By the time we met in October of 2024, both of us had lived a lot of life. We had learned, grown, healed, and gotten very clear about what we wanted in a partner and in a future. When we each decided to step back into dating, we did so with intention, prayer, and honesty… and yes, through a dating app! What could have been just another swipe turned into something neither of us could have planned. Our first date lasted five hours. The conversation came so easily, the laughter was constant, and there was an unmistakable sense of comfort from the very beginning. When it ended, Cliff went straight to his parents home and told them he met the one. Chrissy needed more time. It took her until the second date to realize Cliff was the one, lol. What started as conversation and laughs grew into a deep friendship, shared joy, and a love that felt steady and peaceful rather than rushed. We spent our time building something meaningful—traveling, cooking together, supporting each other, and learning what it looks like to walk together with faith at the center. As our relationship unfolded, it became clear that God’s timing had been at work all along. What once felt like missed opportunities turned out to be preparation. Every season before meeting each other shaped us into who we needed to be—for ourselves, and for one another. Now, with grateful and happy hearts, we’re SO excited to begin this next chapter surrounded by the friends and family who have loved us, supported us, and believed in us along the way.
