We recommend flying into the Arcata airport if possible. Folks from SoCal can fly Avelo Air from BUR to ACV, 9/14-9/17.
You can also fly to Eugene, OR, or SFO and drive about 3 hours to Eureka, CA.
Some recommended areas to stay are:
Eureka, Arcata, Ferndale and Trinidad.
We recommend staying at a rental for the weekend either through Vacasa or Airbnb. Even though some towns look far they are usually just 10-15 minutes away.
If you are interested in a hotel stay we recommend the Best Western or the Ramada in Arcata. If enough folks are interested in the same hotel we can try to block out rooms and get a discounted rate. Don't forget the rental car! For folks flying into a non-local airport, it might actually be easier. ACV only has one Enterprise and Lyft/Uber is almost nonexistent.
