Till death do us part…

HOW IT STARTED: It was July 29, 2015 – a random Wednesday night partying in LA at an event called 143 (which means “I LOVE YOU”... foreshadowing much? lol). Andrew was a wingman for his cousin, Cleo was a wingwoman for her best friend. The music was poppin, the drinks were flowin, and the vibes were IMMACULATE.. Somewhere in the middle of the dance floor.. between questionable dance moves, getting low, and probably a few too many drinks.. Andrew & Cleo met. Who would’ve thought that those drunk dance moves would turn into the start of their love story! Andrew asked for Cleo’s snapchat, slid into her DMs like a true 2015 gentleman, and the rest is history. Their first date was at the OC Fair - going on all the rides, playing the fair games (yes he won her a prize.. because obviously he had to impress her.. lol) , watching the pig races, bomb food and of course photobooth pictures DUHH!! Little did they know, this would be the first of many. The partying continued (let’s be real, they were in their early 20s), but somewhere between all the fun they discovered they had the same exact taste in music. They bonded over SoundCloud playlists and endless car rides filled with: “Oh you know this song??” “Wait.. I LOVE this song!!” Before long, Cleo was riding shotgun as the official DJ, controlling the aux and playing all the jams while they vibed together. THE RELATIONSHIP: As years went on, their love for adventure, travel and doing slightly crazy hikes grew stronger. They explored national parks, went on countless hikes, camped under the stars, and yes.. still partied along the way. From climbing through the boulders of Joshua Tree National Park to hiking The Narrows and even tackling the icy trail of Angel’s Landing in the winter in Zion National Park. They’ve even hiked through the rain listening to the peaceful sounds of the HOH Rainforest in Olympic National Park. And of course.. Their favorite place ever – YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK! That’s where they conquered their most legendary hike yet: Half Dome. And no.. you will absolutely not hear the end of it because if you know them, you’ve definitely heard the words “when we hiked Half Dome..” at least 50 times. Their adventures have taken them to Mexico, Seattle, Portland, Hawaii, New York, Japan, and all over California. And wherever they go, one thing is guaranteed.. They’re probably gonna get lit too. They don’t call them the “lit couple” for no reason. In October 2022, they took another big step and officially moved in together. Turning a house into a home and continuing to build a life full of memories, adventures, and lots of laughter with each other and the people they love most. All while Andrew went to school and graduated as a Construction Engineer and Cleo continued to work as a Registered Nurse! THE PROPOSAL: After 9 years together… ANDREW FINALLY POPPED THE QUESTION. ON JULY 6, 2024 (yes.. on his birthday lol), he proposed at Sequoia National Forest on the “Trail of 100 Giants”. Surrounded by massive Sequoia Trees, Andrew got on one knee in front of 2 trees that had grown together as one. He told Cleo they reminded him of their relationship.. Two people who grew together and became one… (LMAOO.. smooth). And of course.. She said YES!! And now the countdown beginssss… until they become MR. & MRS. IGNACIO!!! AWWW SHIIIII….
