Abby and Brandon first met at a Houston Astros baseball game the summer after Brandon graduated from Baylor and Abby finished her freshman year of college. With their families already closely connected through their church as friends and coworkers, it felt only fitting that their story would begin surrounded by music, faith, and baseball (especially with Brandon being a coach). For a while, life took them in different directions. Abby returned to college in Georgia while Brandon began his career, crossing paths only briefly and without much conversation. God, however, was not finished with their story. In the fall of 2023, their families gathered for a night at The Escape Game. That second meeting changed everything and sparked something special. As Abby finished her senior year, the two stayed connected over the phone, growing closer despite the distance. When Abby moved back to Houston in May 2024, Brandon wasted no time asking her to attend Metro the very next day, their church’s young adult group. Soon after, they went on their first official date at The Houston Zoo and the rest became history. Today, Abby and Brandon are thankful for God’s perfect timing and for the people who have loved, guided, and prayed over them along the way. They are beyond excited to celebrate their wedding day and begin this next chapter together, surrounded by everyone who means so much to them.
