✨Fashion✨ While this is a formal event we want to see your personality shine! This is the time to pull out that outfit from the back of the closet that you never have an excuse to wear! On the practical side we do NOT recommend wearing heels as the ceremony will take place outside on the grass. We recommend boots or other comfortable footwear. The bridal party will be in black, do with that information what you will. The only color we request you not wear is white. Those showing up wearing white will be subjected to the bridal party's sense of justice, you’ve been warned.
Kids at weddings are always a touchy subject. In general no, children are not invited to this event, however there are a handful of kids near and dear to our hearts that are specifically invited, their names appear in the family RSVP. For those kids we will have activities and can arrange a more child friendly meal if needed. While the music will not be overly graphic or vulgar our full playlist is not radio appropriate. Please be warned we intend to play loud metal music for the last hour of the reception. An announcement will be made prior if your little one is still up we would recommend getting them to bed at that point.

We have a strict no rando’s rule. If you feel we genuinely forgot someone please contact us and we can make the change. Anyone who shows up with an uninvited guest will be asked to leave. Anyone who fights that will be thrown in the lake at the bride’s request.
We have nearly the entire Highland Lake Inn reservation for our wedding weekend. To use our booking code please call them at 1-800-635-5101 and use code #20397. We ask that the cabins remain available for those traveling with children.

We ask that no pictures be taken during our ceremony. We will have the event photographed professionally, we ask only that you be present in the moment with us. We would love to see all the other pictures you take though!
