We're getting married !

We met back in high school—yep, classic teenage setting. We were classmates for just one year during 2nd year, and while we didn’t exactly fall head over heels back then, he did make sure to tease me every time he saw me in the hallway. (He insists it was charming. I say it was “annoying”—I perfected the art of the eye roll.) After that, we simply passed each other by—literally—until life took us down different paths. Fast forward a decade-ish later (September 2023, to be exact): enter Instagram and one bold DM from Christian. (Because what’s more romantic than sliding into someone’s DMs in the digital age?) I replied, we reconnected, and just like that, the hallway banter turned into real conversations, laughter, and late-night chats that felt a lot like… fate. By June 2024, we were exploring Egypt together (because why not start strong?). And in December, in Amsterdam—the City of Canals—he got down on one knee and popped the question. Tourists watched, I tried not to cry (too much). Romantic? Absolutely. Freezing? Also yes—it was 1°C! It may have taken years, a few memes, and a pyramid or two… but we found our way back to each other. And now, we're getting married! Who saw that coming? (Spoiler: Not our high school teachers.)
