Need a caffeine fix? Flying M Coffee is just down the street from our venue, making it the perfect spot to fuel up before the big day. Whether you’re grabbing a latte, some baked goods, or just soaking in the cozy vibe, it’s a local favorite that we think you’ll love!
Explore the charming Basque Block to learn about Boise’s Basque heritage. November is a great time to experience the flavors of this culture, especially with cozy spots like the Basque Market offering hearty meals. Kevin and I had our first date at Bar Gernika on the Basque Block, and we highly recommend trying their Croquetas and Kalimotxo (Calimocho)—a unique blend of equal parts red wine and cola. It’s a local favorite!
For a more laid-back activity, check out The Flicks, a cozy independent theater in downtown Boise. Not only can you catch a great movie, but you can also enjoy yummy snacks and a wide variety of drinks while you watch. It’s a fun and relaxed spot for movie lovers!
The Boise Greenbelt is a lovely paved path along the river—perfect for a stroll or bike ride! You can hop on the trail at any point along the river, but we recommend parking near Julia Davis Park for easy access. Fun fact: Kevin and I took a walk on the Greenbelt during our very first date, so it holds a special place in our hearts!
Historic Hyde Park is the cutest little strip of shops, restaurants, and coffee spots tucked in Boise’s North End. It’s also a short walk from Camelback Park, where you can either climb to the top for amazing views of the city or enjoy the many trails behind it. Our recommendation? Grab a coffee (and something delicious) at Certified, then take a leisurely stroll over to Camelback to enjoy the sights!
