What is the schedule of events?
Answer
The ceremony will begin promptly at 2:00 PM at Lisbon United Methodist Church in Lisbon, Louisiana, which is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes east of Shreveport, Louisiana. There will be a break between the end of the ceremony and the start of the reception. Guests are welcome to return to their hotels in Shreveport to freshen up during this time. The reception will begin at 6:00 PM. A bus will be provided from The Hilton Shreveport Convention Center Hotel to the private home where the reception will be held in Shreveport. The initial bus will leave at 5:30 PM. For more details, please see the question below titled “Will there be transportation from the Hilton to the reception?” or visit the “Travel” tab on our website. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!

We kindly ask that you join us in having an "unplugged" ceremony. This means all phones and cameras should be silenced, turned off, and put away during the ceremony. We’ve hired professional photographers and videographers to beautifully capture these special moments. After the ceremony and the church exit, please feel free to take as many photos as you’d like! Thank you for helping us create a meaningful, distraction-free experience.

Will there be transportation from The Hilton Shreveport Convention Center Hotel to the reception?
Answer
Yes! A bus will be provided from The Hilton Shreveport Convention Center Hotel to the private home where the reception will be held. The initial bus will leave at 5:30 PM. The bus will also make return trips to the hotel throughout the night for guests who wish to leave before the reception concludes. Guests are welcome to drive to the reception if they prefer, but please note that parking is extremely limited in the residential neighborhood where the home is located. You don’t need to be staying at The Hilton Shreveport Convention Center Hotel to ride the bus. If you’d like to park your car there and catch the bus, on-site parking is available for a fee. For more information regarding transportation, please visit the "Travel" tab of our website.

What is the dress code?
Answer
We kindly request cocktail attire for our ceremony and reception. For women: Cocktail dresses, midi dresses, dressy jumpsuits, or elegant separates. If you prefer, a more formal floor-length dress is perfectly welcome, too. For men: Suits or dress slacks paired with a button-down shirt and blazer, with or without a tie, are appropriate. However, please know this is just a suggestion, as we want everyone to feel comfortable and have fun. The most important thing is that you feel great and are ready to celebrate with us!

Are both the ceremony and reception handicap accessible?
Answer
Yes! The church has a handicap-accessible entrance with a ramp located at the rear of the building for those who need it. The private home where the reception will be held is also handicap accessible.

Are kids invited?
Answer
To allow all guests (including parents) a night of relaxation, we kindly request that no children attend the ceremony or reception, with the exception of children of immediate family members, godchildren and those actively participating in the ceremony. If your children are invited, your invitation will be addressed to “The {Last Name} Family.” If you’re unsure, please check the "RSVP" tab for clarification. Thank you for understanding!
