Things To Do

There is an incredible number of things to do and places to visit in Philly, but we've explored Philly for a few years and we wanted to share our favorite restaurants and attractions to visit. This is geared especially for our friends and family visiting Philly for the first time and the first time in a while.

Brü Craft & Wurst

1316 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia, PA 19107
, (215) 800-1079

This is our favorite German restaurant in the city. The food is pretty authentic and they have an impressive beer selection.

Love Park

15th St & JFK Blvd, Philadelphia, PA 19102
, (215) 686-1776

The famous LOVE statue is near the corner of 15th St & JFK Blvd. There might be a bit of a wait to get a picture.

The Mütter Museum at The College of Physicians of Philadelphia

19 South 22nd Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103
, (215) 560-8564

Our favorite gross museum! It has a crazy collection of preserved body parts from various parts of history.

Monk's Cafe

264 South 16th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19102
, (215) 545-7005

Great international beer selection, perfect mussel dishes, and such delicious food. You cannot go wrong with any food you choose.

History: Museum of the American Revolution

101 South 3rd Street, Philadelphia, PA 19106
, (215) 253-6731

Hands down, THE best museum we've been to about the American Revolution. If you go here, you've GOT to make sure you go to the special show. It's worth the extra bit of time!

Green Eggs Café

212 South 13th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19107
, (267) 861-0314

Our favorite brunch place in the city. If you happen to be in town on a weekday, we recommend going then, because it gets CRAZY busy on the weekends. If you go on the weekend, try to arrive before 9:30. The location on Dickinson is also a little less crowded than the one on S 13th. We've never been to the other location.

History: Liberty Bell

526 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA 19106
, (215) 965-2305

FREE! But remember to bring your ID. It's a national park.

History: Independence Hall

520 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia, PA 19106
, (215) 965-2305

Philadelphia's Magic Gardens

1020 South Street, Philadelphia, PA 19147
, (215) 733-0390

Inexpensive extensive art installation. Classic Philly attraction!

Philadelphia Museum of Art, Rocky Steps, & Rocky Statue

2600 Benjamin Franklin Parkway, Philadelphia, PA 19130
, (215) 763-8100

DunDunDunDaDunDunDun DA DUN! Make sure to run up the steps & check out the statue off to the right.

Science: The Franklin Institute

222 North 20th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103
, (215) 448-1200

They've always got interesting exhibits. It's geared towards kids & kids at heart! Pretty cool giant Benjamin Franklin inside!

Jim's Steaks or Ishkabibble's

400 South Street, Philadelphia, PA 19147
, (215) 928-1911

Both places have awesome cheesesteaks! Definitely worth the wait. Ishkabibble's is less than a block down South Street from Jim's.
