Our Story When two hearts found the beats Hello family and friends, We’d love to share the story of how our journey began. A journey rooted in the magic of Detty December in Accra. Jamie had come to celebrate the festive season with family and friends in Ghana. Coincidentally I had just returned home to celebrate Christmas and Detty December. Our friends introduced us on the very day I was picked up from the airport at one unforgettable night at a cozy lounge in Accra, alive with music and the warmth of the city’s energy. From that moment, there was a spark, a connection that neither of us expected but both immediately felt it. When the festive season ended and we returned to the U.S., our connection only grew stronger. We spent time going on trips together, glamping under the stars, relaxing on beach vacations, and these adventures brought us closer than we ever imagined. Then came the moment I had been dreaming of: a surprise engagement at jamie’s sister’s place (baa Bugue), surrounded by the love of family and close friends. To celebrate, we traveled to the beautiful island of St. Maarten, a perfect place to mark the beginning of our forever. From the moment we arrived, we knew we were ready. We couldn’t wait to become husband and wife and start building a life filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. Now, as we prepare to celebrate our wedding day, Jemima and I are truly grateful to have you with us. Your presence means everything, and we’re so excited to share this joyous moment with all of you. Explore the historic Cape Coast Castle Walk high above the trees on the Kakum Canopy Walk Visit Hans Cottage to see the famous crocodiles 🐊 A day filled with history, nature, and unforgettable experiences! 📅 December 26 – Return to Accra & All-White Party Start the morning with a scenic drive back to Accra, stopping at the Arts Center to explore local crafts, souvenirs, and art. Afterward, relax and recharge at your hotel before our grand evening celebration. 🌙 All-White Party at Little Havana, Aburi Wrap up the day in elegance at our All-White Party at Little Havana in Aburi!
