Question

Where do I RSVP?

Answer

Please click the RSVP tab and enter your name (first name or last name will search). If you had a +1 and I didn't know their name, it will ask you to enter that info. Because of our venue's hard cap for seating, we were not able to give everyone a plus one. If this is an issue for you, please contact us directly.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Our wedding is cocktail formal. We ask that the men wear jackets and women wear dresses, nice blouses and skirts, or nice blouses and pants. Jeans are welcome if paired with jackets/nice shirts. Our wedding has a theme of Old West meets Day of the Dead. The bridal party will be in Victorian Old West inspired clothing, black lace bridesmaid dresses, and boots. Please feel free to join us in Old West attire, or dress in the wedding colors of black and white with turquoise and marigold accents.

Question

What is Day of the Dead (Dia de los Muertos)?

Answer

Day of the Dead is a major Mexican holiday dedicated to remembering and celebrating loved ones who have already passed. According to traditional belief, it is the one day a year the dead can visit the living; typically this is celebrated by building altars and cooking favorite foods of those who have passed. Because we have both lost an immediate family member, we wanted to invite those loved ones to celebrate with us. We will have an altar, photographs, and offerings for our loved ones. If you want to learn more about the holiday, there's a wonderful PBS documentary available online: https://www.kcet.org/shows/artbound/episodes/dia-de-los-muertos-day-of-the-dead. You may also want to watch the Disney movie Coco or the animated film Book of Life.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

In November, Tucson days run between 75 and 85 degrees, and evenings dip to between 50 and 65. We suggest bringing a jacket for the reception, as the elevation makes the fall air cool. Chance of rain is very low.

Question

I have small kids...

Answer

A lot of our guests have small children. Not to worry! Our venue has a series of gardens that will be lit and open for the duration of the event, perfect to explore with little ones. We also plan to have a craft table with books, games, and coloring for our littler guests.

Question

Do I need to worry about snakes/scorpions/pumas/Arizona wildlife?

Answer

No. We're far enough into the city and the weather is cold enough that nothing should be out. But if you want to see the local wildlife, consider visiting the mountains or the Desert Museum.
