Sophie and Clayton's love story truly began on New Year’s Eve 2020 in her hometown of Novato, California. After connecting weeks prior on the popular dating app Hinge, their virtual connection had worn out it's welcome. They spent that New Year’s Eve texting one another and sometime shortly after the clock struck midnight, Sophie invited Clayton to meet her and some friends at the local dive bar. Clayton was home preparing for work the next day and getting ready to call it a night. However once Sophie extended her invitation Clayton knew he could not miss this opportunity to meet her. He quickly got ready and hopped into his truck alongside his beloved dog Khali. Thirty minutes later Clayton was walking into Brown's Binyerd for the very first time looking for a table of people he had never met. Little did he know that one of those strangers would become the love of his life and his future wife. This first "date" went so well that when the night ended, Sophie walked Clayton back to his truck (reverse chivalry). It was there that Sophie met Khali for the first time, who was patiently sleeping in the backseat. It was also there that Clayton asked Sophie on a proper date. Dinner the very next evening. And, well... she said yes. That next evening, at exactly 7 PM, Clayton picked Sophie up and they went for sushi at a popular spot in Sausalito. It wasn't until they were seated at their table that the realization came over them both. We are now on our second date in the very same day. If that is not a good start, what is? From then their connection only grew, and slowly they were falling in love...and perhaps even more impressively, Sophie was slowly becoming a dog person, albeit a one dog person.
