We're Getting Married!

Sometimes love is written long before you realize it. Lydia’s aunt and Clayton’s mom became friends in college while studying dental hygiene. They lived in the same apartment building, forming a bond that would eventually bring Lydia and Clayton together. In 2015 and 2016, Lydia’s family visited the Smiths while vacationing in Wellsboro, PA. Fast forward to 2021, Aunt Karla took Lydia and her brother to spend a weekend with the Smiths. They began spending more time together by going to homecoming, attending his football games, skiing, and joining their families on beach trips. After their third family trip to South Carolina in July 2023, they realized their connection had grown into something deeper. They officially started dating, and their families joyfully celebrated by dancing in the ocean. Over the next two years, Lydia and Clayton became not only a couple but also best friends, making memories, building a cabin together, and dreaming of their future. Then, in the most beautiful full-circle moment, Clayton proposed at Surfside Beach, South Carolina, the very same place where they fell in love. With God’s blessing, their story continues, rooted in faith, family, and love. Lydia and Clayton cannot wait to begin this next chapter of life as husband and wife.
