Named one of the most beautiful places on earth because of the striking blue waters and wild sand dune cliffs, this national park offers a variety of hikes and is a fun place to hunt for Petoskey stones on the beach.
Fishtown
An historic boardwalk of wooden shanties - turned shops in the charming town of Leland, Fishtown is a fun destination. The popular Cheese Shanty is a great stop for lunch (bring cash), Van's Beach is a great spot for rock hunting, especially for the unique Leland Blue "stones" the area is known for.
Leelanau Peninsula Wine Trail
Wineries abound in this agricultural peninsula. Map your own itinerary or book one of the local tour shuttles to sip delicious wine and enjoy the views.
Old Mission Peninsula Wine Trail
Old Mission Peninsula, between the bays, offers beautiful wineries with history and views. A lighthouse museum at the end of the peninsula is a great destination as well and farm stands along the way offer fresh local produce.
