We hope our guests will use this trip as an excuse to explore the beauty of California. In our opinion, the best way to do that is driving part (or all) of Highway 1, which stretches the entirety of the pacific coastline. It is easily one of the most beautiful sights this country has to offer and something you'll never forget!
If you don't have the time to drive much of the PCH, we at least recommend taking a drive down to the Big Sur area. It's perfect for hikes and some of the most iconic views along the pacific coast! Check out Pfeiffer Beach (where we got engaged), McWay Falls, Partington Cove, Creamery Meadow Trail, Salmon Falls, Canyon Falls, and so many others.
We picked this place to get married because it was one of the most memorable and beautiful parks we've ever been to, especially at sunset. Only a 15-minute drive from Carmel-by-the-sea, we highly encourage all our guests to catch a sunset from one of the beautiful vantage points offered by this park.
17-Mile Drive is a scenic road through Pebble Beach and Pacific Grove on the Monterey Peninsula in California, much of which hugs the Pacific coastline and passes famous golf courses, mansions and scenic attractions, including the Lone Cypress, Bird Rock and the 5,300-acre Del Monte Forest of Monterey Cypress trees.
