Summer Flight Tips

We're so grateful folks are coming from far away to celebrate with us! Below are some tips to make your travel smooth so you can focus on celebrating! -- East coast summers are known for pop-up thunderstorms in the afternoons, which can cause delays for the rest of the day. Overnight flights or early morning flights are usually best when coming in, particularly from the west coast! -- DCA is the airport closest to Washington, with access to the city via taxi (15 min) or the Metro (30 min with one transfer). -- IAD and BWI are both a similar distance from DC. From those airports, traveling by car will take around 30-45 min depending on traffic, and travelling by public transportation will take around 45 min-1 hour. --
