Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes! Please see the Travel & Accommodations page for room blocks and other hotel recommendations.

Are my children invited?

Answer

Although this is not a child-free wedding, we're limiting children to family ages 5+ only. The venue is an outdoor museum with heavy sculptures and running water, so for the safety and enjoyment of our guests we kindly ask that you leave your little ones at home. If childcare is prohibitive, please reach out to Hannah or Clayton before you RSVP to discuss exceptions.

What should I wear?

Answer

Dress code is cocktail attire. The ceremony and reception are both outside, so for women we recommend wearing block heels instead of stilettos.

Should I avoid wearing any specific colors?

Answer

No! Wear what you like. Bridesmaids will be in a mix of colors, so there's no need to worry about matching the bridesmaids.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception are outdoors.

How do I get to and from the wedding venue?

Answer

You can drive or take an Uber or Lyft to the wedding venue. Parking at the venue is limited and we will be reserving spaces for older family members and family with kids. There are three paid, public parking lots along Azie Morton Rd, the closest to Umlauf being the one across the street for the South Austin Little League - Wright Field. These lots are shared with Zilker Park, so availability is not guaranteed. We recommend taking an Uber or Lyft if possible.

Can I bring a plus one?

We will only be able to accommodate the guests listed on your invitation. Thank you for your understanding!

What if I have dietary restrictions?

Answer

Please reach out to Hannah or Clayton as soon as you are able in order to best accommodate any dietary restrictions.

Will there be an after party?

Answer

Yes, but location is TBD. Transportation will be provided. Please note, if you choose to drive to the wedding, you will need to also drive to the after party because you will not be able to leave your car overnight at the wedding venue.
