Adolfo Suárez Madrid–Barajas Airport is the nearest international airport to fly into. Toledo is a 35 minute train ride or 1 hour car ride from Madrid. **Please ensure your passport is valid through 6 months beyond your travel dates.**

Traveling from Madrid to Toledo

The fastest way to travel from Madrid to Toledo is by train (Renfe). The train leaves from the Madrid-Puerta de Atocha-Almudena Grandes station and takes 34 minutes. There are several trips daily, we recommend you book your trip at least 24 hours before as tickets may sell out overnight. The cheapest way to travel from Madrid to Toledo is by bus (Alsa). The bus leaves from the Plaza Eliptica station every 20 minutes and takes 50-90 minutes depending on traffic. If you do not wish to plan your transfer to Toledo ahead of time, this is a great option as you can buy tickets the day of and hop on the first available bus.
