Victor Rushing
Brother of the Bride
Victor and I have been best friends since he was born 23 years ago. He was my first friend and has been my confidant, partner in crime and one of my greatest blessings since he was born. He graduated from Tulane in May 2019 and now studies law with Clay at LSU. I asked Vic to stand beside me on my wedding day because he’s my best buddy and I couldn’t imagine not having him up there with me on the most important day of my life.
Peyton Parker
Brother of the Groom
Peyton has been my best friend and closest ally our whole lives. From fishing to hunting to school and everything in between, Peyton has always been there for me. Peyton is a rising senior at St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Hammond. He plays football and starts on the offensive line, so I can always count on him to be the muscle in the operation. All joking aside, I asked Peyton to stand beside me because we're a team, especially on the most important day of my life. Both Sammi and I are very close to our brothers so we decided to have them stand with us in order to include all our friends and not limit the wedding party.

Parents of the Bride
My parents are the epitome of a team. Married for 27 years, they have never argued... probably because my dad’s favorite line is, “You’re right, dear.” I’m so thankful for the Godly example they have provided for my brother and me and cannot wait to model my marriage to Clay after theirs. Dad is a contractor and Mom is in "Quality Assurance" for Allstate Insurance Company. Dad is a former cover band member who used to wear leather pants and airbrush t-shirts. Mom is a Sunday school teacher who has won awards for her exceptional organizational skills. In Clay’s and my relationship, he is very much my mom and I am very much my dad.
Marcell and Lori Parker
Parents of the Groom
Marcell and Lori Parker are two of the best parents anyone could ask for. They tirelessly help not only our family, but also everyone around them. From birth, they have taught my brother and me the value of hard work and have done everything in their power to give us the tools we need to succeed. I cannot thank them enough for all they've done for me. Marcell is Vice President and Branch Manager of Louisiana Land Bank and Lori is CFO of LSU AgCenter. They are the loving parents of two sons and, more importantly, three rowdy dauchsunds. God could not have blessed me with better parents.
Tucker and Lucy
Our Puppies
Tucker is a *LIVELY* year-old black Labrador Retriever who is not well trained but very well loved. Tucker was Sammi’s Christmas gift from Clay in 2018. He is the second love of her life. Lucy is the SWEETEST little girl who loves to talk, especially to her boy Clay. She was lovingly rescued from the cow pasture and brings so much joy to everyone around her, even Jodi (if you know, you know).
