Matron of Honor
Meagan and I have been inseparable since the very first day of Kindergarten, when fate (and Mrs. Clemmons) sat us next to each other in the reading circle. I’m not sure what my childhood would have looked like without her, and honestly, I don’t want to imagine it. She’s always been my biggest cheerleader—when I say I’m dumb, she insists I’m brave. She’s a carbon copy of her beautiful, charismatic mother and can talk to absolutely anyone (and probably will). From playground adventures to wedding planning, she’s been by my side through it all, and I can’t imagine saying “I do” without her standing right there next to me.
Best Man
As Clay’s older brother, Cyle has perfected the art of being both a mentor and a rival. A natural athlete, he’s good at just about every sport he picks up — his latest obsession being pickleball — and he plays to win. Always. One of Clay’s favorite childhood memories is their epic video game battles, which usually ended with the console being shut off mid-play whenever Clay was on the losing side (because clearly, he likes to win too). Rivalries aside, Cyle has always been in Clay’s corner, and there’s no one better suited to stand by his side on the big day.
Bridesmaid
Megan and I have been partners in sarcasm and laughter since high school. She’s blunt, hilarious, and still proudly reminds me of the time I called her “obscene” back in the day—probably because it was true (and still is). Over the years, Megan (and now Cory, too) have shown me so much about love, laughter, and building a life full of joy. Her home has always been a place where I’ve felt welcome, supported, and like part of the family. Even though she didn’t put me in her wedding (yes, I’m still bringing that up), she’s standing right beside me for mine… which makes us even.
Groomswoman
Christi is standing in for Chad, Clay’s dear friend who passed away in April. Over the years, the four of us shared so many incredible trips to the Caribbean—each one somehow more fabulous than the last. Our time together was unforgettable, filled with laughter, adventures, and memories we’ll carry forever. Having Christi here to represent Chad on our wedding day means the world to us, and we know he’d be smiling (and probably ordering another round) right along with us.
Bridesmaid
Lauren and I met in college, bonded over random car rides, our love for the Graham Colton Band, and the occasional slightly questionable situation—like a dive bar, a murder investigation, or a 3 a.m. Waffle House trip. She’s an instigator in the best way, the only barred attorney I know who still makes prank phone calls, and a master of the practical joke. She’s fun, kind, and the perfect mix of mischief and heart—exactly the kind of person you want around on your wedding day.
Groomsman
Bill is the perfect combination of hilarious and kind-hearted — the guy who can make you laugh until your cheeks hurt, then quietly make sure everyone else is taken care of. Every year, we look forward to our annual River Trip with Lauren and Bill and the crew, and somehow, each one manages to top the last. Bill good-naturedly endures [Bridesmaid] Lauren’s endless practical jokes and somehow finds himself roped into her most ridiculous requests without complaint. We’re pretty sure the only thing that might beat it is seeing him out on the dance floor at the wedding.
