Clay and Ellie met on a blind date at Harry's Country Club on January 24th, 2024. This date was set up through a mutual friend, Alyssa. Clay remembers Alyssa telling him before the date that she had set up multiple couples who ended up getting married “so no pressure.” (Clay and Ellie are excited to keep her streak going). Ellie and Clay both recall how comfortable and fun it felt from day one. They made it official a little over a month later, on March 9th, 2024. The next two years were full of going on walks, playing card games, and laughing with one another. Clay proposed on January 17th, 2026 at one of their favorite spots, Antioch Park, and Ellie said yes!
