Glen and I met the way most people do today... in the modern world of online dating. After matching profiles, messaging and exchanging numbers, our conversations and interest kept progressing. Glen proceeded to ask me out on a date, and gave me three options of what we could do. With curiosity, I asked why I had to choose one...why not all three? We felt such a strong connection on our first date, that it turned into eight consecutive date nights, rather than just one or even three. On date 3 and during a conversation of how much Glen could see a future with me, he started deleting his dating site profiles and showed me on his cellphone. He didn't ask, but I felt such a strong connection also that I started removing my profiles. It was then that we realized that we both had the desire to be together in a loving partnership. Now, three and half years later, we are looking forward to the day family and friends will witness us go from two separate people to becoming one happily married loving partnership. And finally, Glen is the one choice I needed.
Two years ago, Glen asked my father and best friend Shayne for their blessing to ask for my hand in marriage. He then coordinated with Shayne a way to propose to me at my favorite Italian restaurant Luna's, surrounded by my family and closest friends. Glen and I romantically enjoyed dinner, while Shayne gathered some of my family and friends at Starbucks next door. When Glen popped the question, the ring "popped" right out of the box, too! I said "yes" and Glen carefully placed the ring on my finger. Fast forward through a lot of wonderful dating during these two years of engagement... we are more in love now than ever, and are in the final stages of planning our wedding.
