Flight
T.F. Green Airport (PVD) is the closest airport. It is a 35-40 minute drive from Newport. Additionally, you could fly into Boston Logan International Airport (BOS), but it is further away, around 1.5-2 hour drive. Flying into NYC and taking the train is also an option, with train information outlined below.
Train
The Amtrak runs directly from New York Penn Station to Kingston, Rhode Island. The train ride is about 3 hours and then a 20 minute uber to Newport. Ubers are readily available.
