Venues & FAQs

Claudia and Peter will be married in a private Catholic ceremony on Thursday, August 20, 2026, at Saint Anne's Shrine in Isle La Motte, Vermont, with immediate family. Overlooking the Adirondacks and steeped in history, the Shrine holds deep meaning for Peter, who visited each August with the Saint Michael’s soccer team. A place of faith, community, and peace, it is the perfect setting for their vows, uniting tradition and personal connection. Guests are invited to a ceremony and reception on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at Fairholt in Burlington, Vermont. Dear to Claudia for family gatherings and holiday memories, Fairholt also once belonged to the Society of Saint Edmund, creating a meaningful link to their vows. Nestled in scenic Burlington, it offers Vermont views, foliage, and charm as the backdrop for continuing their celebration.
Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

While we would love to celebrate with everyone, our large families mean we can only have kids from our immediate families in attendance. If your children are not on the RSVP, we unfortunately cannot accommodate them.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

We made the dress for the wedding black tie optional; formal dresses for women and suit or tux for men! (Tuxes absolutely not required) At the end of the day, we want you to have fun and be comfortable, so please don't stress about the dress! We just thought it would be fun to dress up in Vermont :) For welcome drinks, semi-formal is great!

Question

What color will the bridesmaids be in?

Answer

Navy blue! (But this doesn't mean you can't wear it too:)

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes! Please feel free to come via private car, there will be parking. Additionally, Ubers are readily accessible in Burlington for your way home. Safety is a priority, please feel free to leave your car at the venue overnight if needed!
