FAQs

Question

Where is the wedding taking place?

Answer

Our wedding will take place in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. The ceremony will be held at a Catholic church, followed by a sunset reception at Grand Miramar Resort overlooking the ocean. We truly cannot wait to celebrate our covenant in such a beautiful place with the people we love most.

Question

When will invitations be sent?

Answer

Formal invitations will be mailed in Fall 2026. We recommend booking flights shortly after receiving your invitation for the best pricing.

Question

What airport should I fly into?

Answer

Please fly into: Licenciado Gustavo Díaz Ordaz International Airport (PVR) Uber is available in Puerto Vallarta. Private shuttle services can also be reserved in advance if preferred.

Question

Where should we stay?

Answer

We highly recommend staying at Grand Miramar Resort, where we’ve secured special wedding guest pricing. Rooms must be reserved by calling the resort directly (online booking will not apply the wedding rate). Booking instructions and contact details are listed under the Travel tab.

Question

Will transportation be provided on wedding day?

Answer

Yes! We will be providing round-trip shuttle transportation between Grand Miramar and the church for the ceremony. Shuttle departure times will be shared closer to the wedding date.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Formal / Elegant Attire We kindly ask our guests to dress in elevated, sophisticated attire while keeping Puerto Vallarta’s warm climate in mind. Gentlemen: Suits in lightweight fabrics (linen or breathable blends are welcome). Ladies: Floor-length, midi, or elegant cocktail dresses in light, airy fabrics. As our ceremony will take place in a Catholic church, we respectfully ask that attire be modest and appropriate for the setting. Shoulders should be covered during the ceremony (a shawl or wrap is perfectly fine and encouraged).

Question

Are children welcome?

Answer

Yes! We are so happy to celebrate with your little ones — children are absolutely welcome. We kindly ask that parents ensure children are supervised throughout the evening, especially during special moments such as our first dance, speeches, and formalities. We want everyone to enjoy the celebration safely while preserving these meaningful moments.

Question

What will the weather be like in January?

Answer

January in Puerto Vallarta is warm and beautiful — typically mid-70s to low-80s during the day with cooler evenings. We recommend light layers for after sunset.

Question

What is your wedding hashtag?

Answer

#MeettheMcGonagles We cannot wait to see your photos and memories.
