Places to stay
The hotels in Portland in the summer are unfortunately quite expensive, so we suggest you consider the following options: 1. Rent an apartment in Portland. Leo and I will stay in an Airbnb apartment in the Parkside neighborhood of Portland. We encourage you to check Airbnb and VRBO for nearby options that work for your group. (Portland is pretty small, so other neighborhoods work too!) 2. Stay at La Quinta Hotel. Info below. 3. Check out other options on Booking.com - there are a ton of beautiful hotels in Portland if you are willing to pay a higher rate. You could also stay a bit farther outside Portland if you don't mind driving, and can likely find less expensive options.

Flight
Portland International Jetport (PWM)
If you're flying, the Portland International Jetport (PWM) is the best airport to fly into, and is just a 10-15min drive/cab ride from downtown Portland.
Train
Amtrak Portland Train Station
Amtrak is a great option for traveling from Boston area. There is no direct train from NYC (you'd have to transfer from South Station to North Station in Boston).
