We’re Getting Married!

Ok so the crazy thing is we’ve been following one another on IG since 2014! 😱. We found that out by looking over our timelines and seeing some activity on a particular post in ‘14. Soooooo... fast forward to Spring 2018! That good ole instagram algorithm started showing us more of each other on our timelines. After a couple of likes and DMs, I was still on the fence about dating someone who lived more than a 2 hour drive from me... Well, one April evening, my best friend was in town visiting and I was on instagram and I showed him her picture saying, “maaannnn... she’s so fine”. He’s like, “That’s Lisa... “. I’m like, “You know her?” So he goes on to tell me that I really should talk to her and get to know her. “She’s solid bro”... that gave me the push I needed to talk to her a little more. After talking on the phone EVERY night in MAY... we went on our first date in Atlanta, Ga on June 2nd! The rest, as the saying goes, is HISTORY!

Deuce and I connecting was all so Divinely orchestrated. From our initial platonic interaction in 2014 to our connected friend groups to our more intentional conversations last year I am further convinced that God’s purpose prevails. Honestly I wasn’t expecting things to evolve so quickly, so magically. At the top of 2018 I made a few promises to myself. One being that I would honor the value of time by being present and thankful each and every day. I vowed to Live My Best Life #Period. I’m so glad I made those declarations! This perspective made it easier to be open to the possibility of Love. Our story is so Special because it is a symbol of Hope and the fulfillment of Promise. I found what I needed when I stopped focusing on what I wanted and now I have Both. *MESSAGE I’m looking forward to forever ❤️
