She said Yes!! Definitively So!

We first met while working for a youth group event for our church (Severna Park Evangelical Presbyterian in Pasadena MD - SPEP) in 2019. Andrew worked with the high school students while Anne worked with the middle school students. We both attended SPEP and would cross paths periodically. Over that time Andrew noticed Anne's beauty inside and out, how much she loved God, and their 11 year age gap. (At the time he was 33 and she was 23.) Andrew wished her the best but correctly figured that asking her out wouldn't work at that time. Later in Summer of 2022, Andrew and Anne went on a mission trip to Guatemala. While there, Andrew got the distinct impression that Anne liked him and was waiting for him to ask her out. After a few weeks of seeking wisdom and prayer, he finally worked up enough courage to do so. However, there was one vital misreading of the situation... Anne wasn't interested...she was just that nice to everyone… but agreed to "one date" anyway. One date of brunch and mini golf led to three total dates but, due to overwhelming circumstances in Anne's life, Andrew needed to go. So in Dec 2022, the dating relationship was dissolved. ...but obviously you're reading this on a wedding website therefore that was not the end of the story ;-) ... Over the winter, Anne was able to work on some of the overwhelming circumstances and started to notice Andrew's qualities, i.e. how much he loved God, and how much he had a servant heart when it came to caring for others, specifically in youth ministry at their church. Andrew, who was already convinced of Anne's qualities, was busy remodeling the bathroom in his house to help distract himself from thinking about her. Anne would text periodically to see how the bathroom was coming along much to Andrew's great annoyance. She persisted and eventually broke down his defenses. On Memorial Day of 2023, they met to talk over the past and possibly walk towards a potential future in dating. We went on our first date on June 17th, 2023 to Harve de Grace and Bengies drive in theater which amounted to a 12 hour long date. We used to work opposite schedules as Andrew works 9-5 and Anne used to work 3-11:30. So back then, we got to see each other 2 days a week and talk maybe 1-3 hours a day. Despite that, we learned about each other, our families, our priorities, and how God loves us. On June 15th 2024 Andrew proposed to Anne at Longwood Gardens during another 12 hour day together.
