It will be the end of November at the top of a mountain, so it will be a bit chilly for sure! The reception is indoor/outdoor and there will be a campfire, but make sure to bring a warm jacket! There are bathrooms and the inside will be heated comfortably. The dance floor will be cleared of tables after dinner, but we will dance both inside and outside!
High of 46, low of 35, partly cloudy, 6% chance of precipitation, slight breeze (5-7mph). Sunset is 4:57pm.
Go classy or go casual, but be picture ready. Some acceptable answers would be: nice jeans and a flannel, a long dress with heels, a fun shirt and nice pants, a short dress with tights and boots, slacks and a button up, or even a full suit if you're feeling fancy. Just don't look like a bum. Pajamas are acceptable after 9pm. Jackets are a good idea. Hope this helps!
Barbecue! It will be served buffet style and there will be salads and sides available as a veggie-only option.
If you really need to bring your children (like you live really far away and can't find a sitter for overnight) please feel free to bring the kiddos! For most of you, your kids were included in your invitation. But, wouldn't you rather party kid-free if you had the option? We are hoping to set all the kids up in a safe space with a sitter during the reception so anyone who has to bring them along can enjoy some dancing and mingling while your kiddos are occupied!
I'm going to lead with the most important item first: if you break anything, become so drunk you are no longer human, or are found drinking in the parking lot, we will be fined $500. So unless you're feeling rich- please drink responsibly. We are charged with providing all liquor ahead of time, so no one can bring liquor with them to the wedding- hence the stock the bar party. If you are attending the stock the bar party, please bring something that you'd like to drink at our wedding so we can give it to our bartenders to serve. The bar is open as long as it is stocked!
There will be tip jars at the bars and at the service station for our servers and bartenders. If you're feeling generous you may bring some cash to drop in the jars for good service!
Virginia currently has no restrictions on gatherings, no mask mandate, nor a vaccination mandate. We will not require anyone to be vaccinated or wear a mask unless that is what they feel comfortable doing. If this is something that makes you uncomfortable, please feel free to join us on zoom!
