Question

What's the dress code?

Answer

This is a special occasion and we love a reason to dress up - we would appreciate it if you wore something a little nicer than your Sunday best dress. We have chosen formal/black-tie optional with the idea that people can wear mid to long black dresses and black suits/jackets (tux is not required). The vision is to have guests in black for that classic and timeless theme. At the end of the day, we want you to be present with us so please do not go out of your way to purchase attire for this occasion.

Are kids invited to the wedding?

Answer

While we LOVE and ADORE your children, we kindly ask that children under the age of 6 years old stay at home. Our hope for the wedding and reception is a time for you to be able to have fun, celebrate love and dance the night away. If the invitation says "The Palmers" and/or your kids are listed on the invite, then your children are welcome - when you go to RSVP you will do so for individual family members, including your kids. If you have any questions at all, please let Katie or Colin know!

Will transportation be available?

Answer

We are not providing transportation due to the availability of Ubers/Lyfts in the area. We are working towards getting a discount code for the event you will be able to find under the travel tab. Additionally, there is plenty of parking for guests, however the cars have to be OFF THE PROPERTY BY MIDNIGHT or else we will be fined by the venue.

I got my invitation, can I bring a guest?

Answer

If we put "and guest" on the invitation then yes, if not than we prefer it just be you. When you RSVP under the guest tab it will also specify if you have a +1 or not. We ask that you please take the time to let us know if you are coming or not. We have to finalize guest count 1 month prior to the wedding.

Why do I have to pick my meal with the RSVP?

Answer

We have decided to do a plated meal which means you will be served dinner with your options of beef, pork or chicken. Please make sure your RSVP is submitted by May 25th, 2024 as we have to give the finalized guest list and meals chosen to our venue.

What if I have dietary restrictions?

Answer

Please let us know when you RSVP as there will be a drop down choice. We are able to accommodate those needs.

Why do you not have a registry?

Answer

Instead of normal registry items, we simply want your presence on our special day as that means far more to us than material items. If you would like to bless us with something more - some things that we love and enjoy together are traveling to new places, trying restaurants and anything that creates an experience of spending time together making memories that we will cherish forever.

Question

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The wedding will be a mixture of both. The ceremony will be outside, cocktail hour will be in the Manor House and reception will be in a tent. The tent will have air conditioning provided so we will be more comfortable dancing the night away in the summer month.
