Megan and Scott grew up on the same street in Walnut Creek, California and began dating towards the end of high school thanks to Megan's mom, Sha telling her that she should hang out with Scott because "he's cool." The pair went to college in Southern California - Megan at UC Santa Barbara and Scott at Loyola Marymount. After Megan moved to San Francisco for law school, Scott eventually followed after realizing (rightfully so) that this is the best city in the world (and that Megan is one of a kind). Megan and Scott have lived in San Francisco for over ten years. They recently bought a condo in Russian Hill, steps away from Lombard Street and the Bay with a peak-a-boo view of the Golden Gate Bridge. Over the holidays, Scott proposed to Megan in her parent's front yard in the same spot where they shared their first kiss. The engagement ring is Megan's late grandmother's (and then her mother's) emerald and diamond ring which was made in the 1920's and is so special to her. By coincidence, Scott proposed on what would have been Megan's late grandparents' 68th wedding anniversary. They are having a small, family wedding in their favorite place, Lake Tahoe. They wish they could invite all of their extended family, friends and colleagues, but a small wedding on the lake just feels right. After the wedding, they are traveling to New York, the Amalfi Coast, Florence and Paris for their honeymoon. Cheers!
