Why aren't you guys getting married in Chicago?!
Answer
While we'll always cherish our upbringing in Orland Park & Chicago, we really want to share our new city with friends and family on our wedding day. We absolutely love our new home, and hope you will too!

Are kids allowed at the wedding?
Answer
No, we love your kids, but this is an adults-only event. We know finding trustworthy childcare is hard, and truly appreciate anyone making accommodations to share our wedding day with us.

What's the weather like in February in North Carolina?
Answer
It's a toss up. We are hoping for a 60 degree day, but we saw anywhere from 50-75 on average in the one winter we've spent in NC so far.

Is the wedding going to be outside?
Answer
No - all events will take place indoors. The venue will have a covered patio and garden area open for those who want to get some fresh air. Depending on weather, we may place a few cocktail tables outside. Heaters will also be available outside, as needed.

Should I bring a coat?
Answer
Yes, you can wear a coat on the trolley and drop it off with our coat check upon arrival.

Can I book a room at any hotel for the wedding?
Answer
We've reserved a block of rooms at The Casso Hotel for your convenience & discounted rate, but feel free to stay anywhere you like! The AC Hotel is right by the Casso, and there are many other options around the city as well for those who want to venture.. just don’t get lost on your way to the ceremony!

What's the best way to get to the wedding venue?
Answer
Transportation will be available to and from The Casso hotel! For those booking hotels elsewhere, Uber and Lyfts are available too. Feeling young again? Take one of the many scooters found all over the city!

What is the dress code?
Answer
Formal or cocktail attire. We know this is the south but please no jeans or "dress jeans" (apparently, that is a thing)

Can I bring a date?
Answer
Sorry - We will have limited space and a strict “RSVP-only” rule to determine headcount, so only those with a plus-one listed on their invitation can bring a guest. We’ll make it up to you with the open bar though!

Can I take photos during the wedding ceremony?
Answer
Please feel free to take as many photos as you'd like during the cocktail hour and reception, but we kindly ask that you refrain from taking photos during the ceremony.

What time does the ceremony start?
Answer
The ceremony starts at 4pm sharp. Don't be late, or you might miss the best part! We chose an early start time, so we can spend the most time with our guests during the cocktail hour and reception!

Is there parking available?
Answer
Yes! We assume most guests will use Uber/Lyft or the provided Trolley, but there is street parking available on Blount St as well as a dedicated parking lot available on Polk St.

Where's Frances going to be on the wedding day?
Answer
We use the Rover app and have found many dog sitters that Frances absolutely loves! She may or may not make a special appearance for photos. Stay tuned!

What is the vibe of the venue?
Answer
The Merrimon-Wynne House is a beautiful historic home turned wedding venue. We chose this venue because it is the perfect way to showcase the charm of North Carolina that we fell in love with. We will have access to the entire property during the wedding day (including the main house with surrounding porch, carriage house in back, and the front yard)

Will there be a vegetarian option for dinner?
Answer
Yes, we have vegetarian options for all three of you ;)
