Austin and I have known each other since our 6th grade year in Newberg, OR. Back then, I didn't know much about him except that he went by the nickname 'Dentler' and he was the biggest class clown I had ever met. Some of the things he said would make me cringe, but looking back, they always made me smile too! I remember Valentine's Day of my 7th grade year when he surprised me by leaving a sweet little teddy bear and a card on my desk, asking me to be his valentine. Truth be told, we didn't really talk much after that day. He ended up staying close friends with my sister Brittnee throughout high school while I moved to West Linn, OR. Fast forward to 2020, when I was visiting my sister and heard the name 'Dentler' again. She casually mentioned that he had become quite the looker. Intrigued, I stalked him on Facebook, and let's just say, I was impressed. I added him, we reconnected that night, and he asked to meet up to catch up that weekend. Even though I knew he was good ol' Dentler from school, I was incredibly nervous to see him again. But as soon as we sat down, our 'catch up' turned into a date within minutes. We moved in together six months later and started our new life in a different state nine months after that. Since the day we met, we've barely been apart. It's funny to think that the boy who gave me my first Valentine's Day card would turn out to be the man of my dreams.
