Today is Joy.

We met at a wedding reception (that Curtis crashed with his friend Thom) in May 2021. Because we were both single, we decided to just have fun and be goofy on the dance floor...in other words, we were both being our fullest selves with our worst dance moves. I (Clarke) noticed Curtis pretty soon after he arrived, and tried to think of a reason to talk to him, so I told him I tore my dress on the dance floor doing the worm. He was hooked. Once the conversation started between us, it went on until the early hours of the morning with a few of our friends around a fire. We didn't want to say goodbye, so we all made plans to see each other the next day to get coffee. After more time together I (Curtis) knew I wanted pursue Clarke, so after coffee I told her how I felt and asked for her number. We immediately started dating and spent the first eight months of our relationship doing long distance because Clarke was in Orange County while Curtis was in Arroyo Grande. After those eight months, Clarke moved up to the central coast where four months later we got engaged. We hope you can join us for our day of joy!
