Went to their show during our first month of dating, for Kyle's birthday! I (Chelsea) have gone to a show at least 4 times and I still love it! Think magic show/part snl type skits/part musical comedy/part imrpov!. It's right on 6th street! Get the full austin experience. They have shows Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays - have to get tickets ahead of time
We went here on our first date! Sit near the bridge on the lawn, up top of the bridge, canoe, or do a boat tour and watch the 1.5 million Mexican Free Tail bats emerge from the bridge they call home. See link for more info and times to go

Beautiful place to watch the sunset and see a gorgeous view! Covert Park at Mount Bonnell is 5.1 acre historic linear park with a prominent overlook that is one of the most visited sites in Austin. Mount Bonnell is a 775-foot-high outcrop along the eastern shore of Lake Austin. The peak of the overlook is a craggy limestone outcropping surrounded by a forested area of live oak, ash juniper, persimmon and mountain laurel that spans the slope between Mount Bonnell Road and the trails at the top of the park.
Live Music and Dancing- Texas Style One of the oldest original dance halls, The Broken Spoke isn’t just a venue. It’s a symbol of Texan defiance. You won’t take the Alamo without a fight and The Broken Spoke will never change. Even as South Lamar explodes skyward with apartment complexes and hotels, one of the most famous dancehalls in Texas remains intact. A genuine relic of Lone Star uniqueness. The SoCo District (full name South Congress) is an eclectic mix of boutiques, restaurants, antiques, galleries, music venues and just the weird and wonderful, really! Definitely worthy of a stroll down its colorful streets where you can enjoy dropping into one of the many delicious pizza and burger joints that line its avenues. It’s a great location for all the family; while mom can have fun searching through retro clothing bins or looking at the shoe displays in “Goodie Two Shoes”, dad can enjoy reminiscing through some old Vinyls! And the kids, meanwhile, can look at the hipster stores and crazy costumes of some of the locals. If you’re in the mood for something different to eat, stop by the little red food truck called “Hey, You Gonna Eat or What?” which specializes in what’s known as “airstream cuisine”.
