We met for the first time in Newport through mutual friends. Fortunately, Michael was persistent and a few weeks later we all got together in Jamestown and after that night we just clicked. Michael drove me to the airport that Sunday morning to go to work in San Francisco. He was so confident that he planed a last minute trip to come out that following weekend and just like that we were a couple. I was confident that Michael was the one, I introduced little Michael 6 months later. The boys bonded instantly and little Michael said "you guys are definitely getting married!". Fast forward to sharing a house in Newport and later buying our own home in East Greenwich. A few months later Michael proposed in Paris (little Michael approved and kept the secret)! While he couldn't hold out long enough to make it to the Eiffel tower, he sure did surprise me in our hotel room and we couldn't have shared a better moment. Now begins planning a wedding... while we both first thought we could plan and put together a wedding in December of 2019, we both realized it was way too quick and decided on December 19, 2020. Fast forward to today and the Covid World we are now forced to live in. We both are so upset we are not "allowed" to celebrate our marriage the way we both anticipated but decided that we are not going to let Covid change the special day we both have been waiting for over two years.
