What started as a simple classroom friendship grew into a brotherhood rooted in loyalty, support, and an open-door, family-first kind of love. “Nick has always been someone who pushes others to grow—encouraging hard work, new skills, and constant self-improvement. He has been a steady source of support in Shanna’s and my relationship, reminding me of my value and encouraging me to open up. I am grateful to have him by my side on my wedding day.” -Clark

Aly is Shanna’s older sister. The two are so similar they even quote the same movie lines. Aly has been with Shanna since she was born, setting an example and leading the way. Both went to Saint Mary’s College and both are now teachers. “Aly was the first person I told when Clark and I got engaged. She is always there for me and offers me advice whenever I need it (even if I don’t ask for it). We’ve grown up together, laughed through everything, and stayed close no matter where life took us. It only makes sense that she stands by me as I marry my guy.” -Shanna

Kyle and Clark met in junior high. At the time, Clark was friends with someone who was picking on Kyle—but that never sat right with him. Instead, Clark chose kindness and became friends with Kyle, quickly realizing how much they had in common. Playing video games and walking to each other's houses after school the two became the brothers they never had. “Kyle is family. He has always welcomed me into his home, day or night, rain or shine. He’s been a constant sounding board—supportive, understanding, and someone who truly gets me. We think alike, show up for each other, and share a bond that has only grown stronger with time. Kyle isn’t just my best friend—he’s a brother, a safe place, and family in every sense of the word.” -Clark

Chelsea is Shanna’s oldest sister. She has been there for Shanna since day one—through the laughs, the tears, and everything in between. She’s a built-in second mom and the best oldest sister a girl could have! "I asked Chelsea to be one of my bridesmaids because she’s the person I turn to for advice, comfort, and a good laugh when I need it. As my oldest sister she’s always been there when I needed her. Clark and Steven met sophomore year of high school through Nick. They bonded over video games, math, and being two detail-oriented nerds with a shared sense of humor. Steven was a positive influence from the start—especially when it came to studying and staying focused. “Steven has been there for me through some of the hardest parts of my life. He showed me the benefits of eating healthy (and introduced me to the world of vegan food), and more importantly, he showed up with empathy, honesty, and care. I deeply value our friendship and the way we can always open up to each other about life.” -Clark

Shanna and Michelle met in High School. They were both in band, went to the same church, and volunteered together in youth group. At one point they saw each other seven days a week. Michelle filled the position of big sis when Chelsea and Aly went to college. Between all the school and after school activities Shanna and Michelle formed a special bond. "Michelle has been there through all the changes life has brought, she’s stayed one of the most constant, genuine people in my life. She’s seen me at my best and worst, and we’ve shared so many memories together. Having her as a bridesmaid just feels right—it’s another special moment to share." -Shanna

Tim and Clark met in college at American River. As two big nerds, they quickly bonded over video games, anime, and Dungeons & Dragons—especially over knowing all the niche rules of their favorite games. Clark knew that Tim was a kindred spirit from the start. “Tim and I worked together at Raley’s, where our friendship grew stronger. He has always been there for me—steady, down to earth, and endlessly welcoming. Tim has a way of reminding me what truly matters and helping me stay grounded, no matter what life throws our way. Tim’s loyalty, humility, and genuine kindness make him someone I am proud to have standing with me.” -Clark

Summer and Shanna met when they both worked at David’s Bridal! Shanna was the manager that interviewed Summer. They bonded over weddings, Jurassic Park, and the need for friends close by. Summer and Shanna were fast friends but their bond is stronger than ever. Shanna is the godmother of both Summer’s baby boys. “Summer and I are what we call ‘Soul Sisters’. God knew we needed each other so he pushed us together in the best way. This girl and I have been together through the highs and lows of life and all the major milestones. Clark and Ryan met online playing Team Fortress 2 with Nick. When Clark was new to the group, he was encouraged to go to Ryan with questions. Ryan’s online name referenced programming, which quickly revealed a shared interest in technology and problem-solving. As Nick, Clark, and Ryan bonded easily, the three of them continued playing games together, growing closer with each session. “More than a decade later, our friendship is built on how alike we are—sharing the same sense of humor and a similar way of thinking through challenges. Ryan and I especially connected through programming and our shared approach to solving problems. Ryan represents years of loyalty, laughter, and shared growth—proof that some of the strongest friendships begin online and only deepen with time.” -Clark

Kaitlyn and Shanna first met while working at David's Bridal together. Bonding over long days and shared laughs, somewhere along the way the two became close friends. Casey and Clark met sophomore year of high school. They bonded over video games, summer hangouts, and navigating life’s big moments together. Casey had a way of helping Clark see the world more clearly—encouraging awareness of what’s going on beyond themselves and pushing him to think intentionally about planning for the future. “Casey is a groomsman because, during our college years, our friend group became the closest thing I’ve ever known to a chosen family. We were a small, tight-knit family of brothers, and Casey was a core part of that bond. Casey represents loyalty, growth, and brotherhood—and having him stand with me means honoring a chapter of my life that shaped who I am today.” -Clark
