Our People

Meet the people who poured into our lives and helped make us the people we are today! We couldn't imagine this day without them.

Timothy Abadie

Best Man

What can be said about Mr. Tim Abadie. Tim and I first met each other while working at Nutramedix. Though we didn't really spend much time together prior to I going off to go to Liberty University, part way through Tim and I started getting to know each other much better during the summer's in between semesters. Tim and I would go on to create a strong friendship through the years over pizza, cruise ships, and many profound conversations and rigmarole. When I left to begin my masters degree at Liberty University, Tim also left for Liberty to get his bachelors degree, so it only made sense to be roommates. So after 3 years of living together, the friendship continued to grow, so much so that it only made sense to have Mr. Tim Abadie as my Best Man.

Alicia VanDussen

Matron of Honor

Lish is one of those people who radiates joy wherever she goes. In my Junior Year at Palm Beach Atlantic University, I was praying and praying and praying for a solid friend who I could have fun with and who would point me to Jesus. And then I met Alicia! God used her to teach me more about myself - she taught me the importance of A1A drives with good music and the windows down and increased my love of sunshine because she loves it and radiates it. She was also my go-to DJ (before I met Clark), study buddy, adventure pal, and came to Calvary with me every week! She's someone who just gets me, always, and points me to Christ. I'm SO forever grateful for our best friendship and how God used her to answer my prayer for a best friend. I am thankful to have her as one of my Matron's of Honor!

Steve Mutuku

Groomsman

Mr. Steve Mutuku has known me for quite some time, 20 years to be exact! Being that I was around 6 when Steve started working Nutramedix, I wasn't able to add much towards building the relationship, but as I grew up, our relationship continued to grow. Steve and I began being more intentional in our friendship when I left for Liberty University. During my time back home from school, we would make it a habit to meet at least once a week to talk, catch up on our lives, and speak into each others lives. Over time, Steve became somewhat of a mentor to me, and so having Steve as a Groomsman had to happen.

Tori Laswell

Matron of Honor

I'll never forget how I met Tori - my first friend at my homeschool co-op in 5th grade. She immediately made me feel welcomed and valued. Tori and I have been through so many season of life - awkward middle school, sometimes cringey sometimes SO sweet high school, college, post-grad life where we both met the loves of our lives, and so many more to come! I'm so grateful for her faithful best friendship. Tori is one of the people who showed me what it means to have a personal relationship with Jesus and helped me make my faith my own in 8th grade. We've been talking about, dreaming about, and praying about each other's wedding days and future husbands since we were 14! It's surreal that the day is finally here where I get to have her as one of my Matron's of Honor!

Randall Purcell

Groomsman

Randall and I began our friendship during our sophomore year at Liberty University. We lived in the same dorm and found ourselves enjoying each others company whenever we crossed paths or dropped by each other's dorm room. Over time, we continued to spend more and more time together going hiking, mountain biking, and other activities of the adventurous variety. We became off-campus roommates during our last two years of undergrad at Liberty University and after graduating, I came back to Liberty for my masters degree and Randall stayed in the area. This allowed Randall and I to continue building our friendship for years to come!

Grace Freeman

Bridesmaid

My sweet little sister! My kiddo! I look up to her and want to be like Grace when I grow up. Gracie is the bravest, most confident, faith-filled, fun-loving, and caring person ever. She amazes me every day. I mean it when I say I look up to her. I've loved getting to have a little sister journey through life with me. Even though we're 10 years apart in age, we've always been extremely close. I remember getting ready for prom and Grace getting dressed up right there with me. She's always been one of the people to remind me of my worth and it means so much that she really likes Clark too. Grace's approval was a must. It's such a joy to have her as one of my bridesmaids - I couldn't imagine it any other way. She's the best sister ever (even if it's a debate that will never end between us).

Ruben Carlo

Groomsman

Good ole Ruben Carlo. This man knows how to bring on the laughs and good times! Ruben and I met during our sophomore year at Liberty University where we were roommates. Even though Ruben and I lived in a dorm for 3, we had trouble keeping a 3rd roommate, which some would suggest that if Ruben and I could handle being roommates with each other, then we had ourselves a special friendship. Over the years and after graduation, Ruben and I made several memories around Virginia and the DC area. Knowing that a groomsman of excellent proportions were needed, having Ruben was a must!

Francesca Krohn

Bridesmaid

Francesca was and is truly an answer to prayer. After I graduated from PBA, I was desperate for community. God brought her into my life through our church's Young Professional's group (the same place I met Clark!). I was amazed that she was a baker at the Breakers and we just clicked immediately. I knew right away that she was my answered prayer for community and would quickly become one of my best friends. We practically spent all of our free time together during COVID, including our Keys weekend getaway, lived in the same apartment complex, can consistently laugh till we cry, cry till we're laughing, and talk about every single possible topic. She has been there from the start of my relationship with Clark and always pushes me closer to Jesus. I'm thrilled to have her as a bridesmaid!

Theodore Anderson

Groomsman

Mr. Anderson....just like Neo, he is the chosen one. But instead of saving the world, he'll be saving my wedding party! Jokes aside, Teddy is a solid friend of mine that I've known for several years, I'll never forget working back at the warehouse when one day a new guy was hired. This dude looked just like me, only with a beard, different hairstyle, different facial structure, and different voice. Aside from that, all our other similarities made it easy for the two of us to get along. Even after making his way out of the warehouse, the two of us have still remained pals and I'm looking forward to having him by my side as a groomsman.

Jessica Eaton

Bridesmaid

Jess, my future sister! One time, when I was praying for my future husband, I prayed that he would have a sister near my age that I could be friends with - and Jess is that answered prayer! I just think that's so cool. Jess and I became close through our church's Young Professionals group, grad-school study dates, and beach days. I've absolutely loved getting to know her over the past year and am so grateful that I get to call her my sister soon! I always enjoy watching her and Clark's dynamic and bond - as someone who's never had a sibling near my age, it's really special to see. Jess is also so driven and so fun. I am so honored to have her stand beside me as one of my bridesmaids - even if I'll always look SO pale in comparison to her consistent tan.
